Bella Hadid's partnership with Charlotte Tilbury has come to an end, eight months after she was announced as the brand's ambassador.
The decision to release Bella Hadid from her contract reportedly came in November, citing "force majeure" as the reason, as per an insider familiar with the situation.
Explaining the term "force majeure," Cornell Law School states that it's a contractual provision that releases both parties from obligations in the event of unforeseen circumstances preventing performance. While the exact reason for Hadid's departure from the brand remains undisclosed, some of her associates speculate that it may be linked to her vocal support for the people of Gaza.
In 2023, Tilbury shared a promotional video expressing excitement about collaborating with Hadid.
The exchange between the company and Hadid was filled with enthusiasm, with Tilbury saying, "Bella, darling! I'm so happy you're here," and Hadid responding, "Charlotte, darling! I'm so happy to be here with you, I love you."
Meanwhile, reports suggest that Hadid has several new projects lined up following her departure from Tilbury. She is preparing to launch her own cosmetics and wellness venture, named Orebella, set to debut in May.
